JULIE M. KOERNER

started her theater life as a dancer in high school, then later on in college at Loyola University where she became a troupe member in Loyola’s brief lived Dance Theatre Workshop under the direction of Corey Nagel.  While Julie’s vocation is law, her avocation has always been theater and the arts, and she has been involved in multiple aspects of theater for over 20 years, including performing, producing, directing, and stagecraft in over 50 productions, both large and small, both in the suburbs and Chicago.  Julie is also a ‘lifelong’ student of music and the arts having taken classes at Old Town School of Folk Music, Act One, and Victory Gardens, and learning from all of the talented people that she has the good fortune to watch and work with on the boards.
