BRYAN PETERS

Bryan Peters is an NYU graduate—majoring in drama with minors in cinema studies and journalism—and he later earned his MA in English education from UIC. In the ten years between degrees, Bryan spent half of his time in New York theaters and the other half in Thai classrooms teaching art and drama in Bangkok. Since 2013, Bryan has been teaching high school drama, English, and ESL with Chicago Public Schools. He also has worked closely with the Goodman Theatre and Chicago Shakespeare Theater to introduce adolescents to live theater and build new relationships between students and the performing arts. Additionally, Bryan is an active global education advocate. He has worked with the UN's High Commissioner for Refugees in Malaysia, participated in think tanks and other programs at Harvard University, and is currently a Fulbright teacher for global classrooms sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
