studied dramatic literature while earning her B.A. in English at the University of Michigan and later studied theater criticism at Northwestern University. Her professional life has been as writer/editor/columnist focusing on arts subjects. She also has served as a juror/judge/curator for numerous art exhibits, and she has led panels as a moderator on various arts issues. Founding publisher of Chicago Gallery News (1982), Natalie also held a position concurrently as executive director of the Chicago Art Dealers Association (1987-2007).
