BARRY TAYLOR

Barry Taylor has been active in theater for many years as an actor, choreographer and director, including at the University of Illinois, Pheasant Run, Bailiwick, Pegasus Players and a wide range of community theaters. For ten years, he served on the Season of Concern Board, including four years as Board Chair. He also produced, directed, choreographed and/or performed in numerous Season of Concern benefits. He received the Larry Sloan Heritage Award for his outstanding service to Season of Concern. As a disability civil rights lawyer, Barry worked collaboratively with numerous Chicago theaters to ensure performances are accessible to theatregoers who are blind, deaf, hard of hearing, or in wheelchairs. Barry is an avid theatergoer in Chicago, and regularly travels to New York to see the latest shows on Broadway.
